MIRANDOLINA

"Mirandolina is a trademark and original creation by Busuoli:

a perfectly leavened, soft cake that combines traditional Emilian cuisine with a literary context (named after the lead character in Goldoni's Mistress of the Inn), and was selected to be part of the cluster representing Emilia Romagna at the Milan Expo.

The ingredients are exceptionally delicious: Pears from Emilia Romagna, walnuts and chocolate (which have been part of our local diet since the days of local celebrity Pico della Mirandola in the 1400s), starter dough and stone-ground flour like it used to be made"

...All my pleasure is in being adored
...and this is the weakness of almost all women, I enjoy my freedom...
and I want to use all arts to
...shatter hearts...

"The Mistress of the Inn by Carlo Goldoni"

MIRANDOLINA

MIRANDOLINA

Mirandolina is an intriguing, sensual and feminine character, but with a free spirit, and that's why she's so well liked.
My city, Mirandola, which in its octagonal shape maintains still today traces of its Renaissance fortified structure, maintains in its name a strong, feisty and independent personality the same qualities of the character that inspired this creation.
Thus was born this cake featuring an enveloping softness and unique flavour.
A cake that is always good!

In my Mirandolina you will find only:

  • Stone-ground semi-whole wheat flour (Petra Flour from the Mulino Quaglia mill)
  • Starter dough
  • Fresh butter made exclusively from cream
  • PGI pears from Emilia Romagna
  • Dark chocolate 62% cocoa
  • Walnuts
  • No preservatives, additives or flavourings
